This website is dedicated to our baby boy, James Julian. He was born on August 1 by planned c-section. At 32 weeks gestation, he was diagnosed with Trisomy 18. It is a chromosomal disease that snatched him from our arms far too soon.
We are a family of 4 living in the mountains of western North Carolina. My husband and I have been married 17 years, and we have 2 beautiful daughters aged 5 and 3. Life is busy and full. My husband (Jim) works from home as a mentor for students at Western Governor’s University. I work as a full-time emergency veterinarian.
Our son lived 154 beautiful days with us. He left this world on January 2, 2017, cradled in our loving arms. We will always love and miss him. We have no regrets about carrying him to term and caring for him. Trisomy 18 did not take our joy in sweet James.
